Loi 25

Loi 25 (Bill 25) modernizes Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information and the Act respecting the legal publicity of enterprises. Nissan Saint-Nicolas is committed to meeting these obligations. This statement explains how we apply the principles of Loi 25 to the personal information collected through this website.

Person responsible for the protection of personal information

  • In accordance with the Act, we have designated a person responsible for the protection of personal information.
  • You may contact the person responsible at privacy@saintnicolasnissan.ca or at our Lévis address for any request concerning your personal information.

Personal information we collect

  • Identity and contact details submitted through our forms (name, email, telephone).
  • Information related to your vehicle interest so we can respond to your request.
  • Communications you send us.

Purposes and minimization

  • We collect only the information necessary for clearly identified purposes: responding to your requests, scheduling appointments, and providing finance and lease information.
  • We do not collect personal information beyond what is necessary.

Consent

  • Consent to collect, use, or communicate your personal information must be free, informed, and revocable.
  • You may withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions.

Confidentiality incidents

  • In the event of a confidentiality incident involving personal information, we will take reasonable measures to reduce the risk of harm and will notify those affected and the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (CAI) where required by law.

Your rights

  • Right of access to your personal information.
  • Right to rectification of inaccurate, incomplete, or ambiguous information.
  • Right to withdraw consent.
  • Right to be informed in the case of a confidentiality incident.

Retention and destruction

  • We establish retention schedules and destroy personal information when the retention period ends or when the purposes for which it was collected are fulfilled, subject to legal retention requirements.

Complaints

  • You may submit a complaint concerning the protection of your personal information to us, or to the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (CAI).
